Our first tour of the year will be a 1/2-3/4 day trip to Lavender Hill Farm, located on Vashon Island. This tour is open to Members and Volunteers only. Take a guided gentle walk with us on the 1/2 acre farm as we learn about growing lavender and enjoy the relaxing scents of the lavender bushes. Interested in learning how to make a lavender wreath? If desired, we can watch a 20 minute demonstration. Did you know lavender can be distilled? Let's hope we can see the process! Cut your own souvenir or buy pre-made lavender themed items at the shop. Reservations are required and volunteer drivers are needed. NNN will reimburse drivers for the cost of the ferry. We will coordinate where drivers and passengers will meet once we have a good count of interested attendees and available drivers. We may consider going together in a hired van, depending on registrants and interest.
