Online Fund Drive Starts

Published on 10/14/2018

NNN is delighted to announce our online fundraising campaign on Crowdrise, a major crowdfunding platform for nonprofits, beginning October 15th.

On average, membership dues cover only sixty percent of Village operating expenses.  Please take a look at our campaign and read about Shirley’s story here: www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/support-a-virtual-village-for-aging-in-place-in-north-kingsouth-snohomish-counties  This is a community effort.  Keeping our neighborhoods intergenerational benefits all residents.  Please share our campaign with everyone you know via e-mail and social media.

We look forward to a success story like this one from Connecticut’s Greenwich At Home:

Longtime member Jack Smith had this to say as the Village celebrated its tenth birthday.   “I want to keep my life and yet have the services around me to get to the hospital a couple of times a week,” Smith said. “I want to make sure I can be there and still stay in my home. This is a community of people that want the same thing. We want independence and yet need some support to maintain that.”

“People grab onto the mission,” said President Michelle Beltrano. “When they hear what we do and how we do it, people say, ‘Oh I wish this had been around for my dad or my aunt or my neighbor.’ People can connect this to their own lives and a lot of people get involved because they know they might be in this situation and need something so they want to make sure it’s in place.”

NNN is getting off the ground as an all-volunteer effort.  Help us reach our goal of hiring  a qualified, paid staff person in 2019.  Please donate and share:  https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/support-a-virtual-village-for-aging-in-place-in-north-kingsouth-snohomish-counties

We can’t do it without your ongoing support.
