Subject: Springing into Action
From: Northwest Neighbors Network

Sunday brings us more daylight hours in which to enjoy NNN activities.  In honor of Daylight Savings Time (trying to ignore the fact the mornings will be dark for a while), we are celebrating by being more active, physically and mentally!
New to NNN, Coming Now!

We are adding a Sunday stroll along the Edmonds waterfront.  Now that we have done a couple of test runs (strolls), we are ready.  Hoping that everyone will have sprung forward, we will meet this Sunday at 1PM PDT at the north end of Arnie's by this statue.  Usually lots of good parking on the street.  Rides are available to NNN members.

On Tuesday, March 10th, we will be taking a look at the new Burke Museum on the UW campus. One of our members used to be a docent at the old Burke. Will be interesting to explore and to compare, even for those who never visited the original.  We will be carpooling.

Come along!

Planning ahead - help us do this!

Along with the regular Shoreline walk  on Tuesdays (going strong a year and a half since inception) we are thinking of taking morning walks on Fridays.  At this point we are just kicking around ideas for locations in or close to Shoreline.  If Friday mornings, 9AM, sound like a good time to walk this spring, drop us a note and give us some suggestions.

Seattle's Asian Art Museum has reopened after a massive remodeling.   Sometime this month we plan to visit and see what all that work has produced. And as it warms up a bit, taking a bus to the SAM in downtown Seattle becomes more appealing.  Want to ride along one of these days?

Three of us are about to learn how to play Mahjong.  Want to learn along with us?  Like to teach or coach?  Prefer to wait until we are somewhat proficient and then join in the game?  Whichever, drop us a note and let us know.  We are targeting dates in the latter half of March.

If you are interested in planning or participating in these activities, or in suggesting something completely different, please send email to services@northwestneighborsnetwork.org.
