Subject: New Events with NNN Coming Your Way
From: Northwest Neighbors Network

Hello NNN members, friends, and family,
Have we got something for you?
From Monday chats on Zoom to walking/talking gatherings, and new ideas coming from members...
  • We are resuming some in-person activities (safely distanced and appropriately shielded/masked) and are ZOOMing some new ones.
  • If none of these are for you, please let us know what you would like.  In person, online, on phone, in the USPS.
  • In person we are walking (Tuesdays in Shoreline,  Sundays in Edmonds) and talking (2nd and 4th Fridays in the park).
  • On Zoom, we are watching TED talks and movies together, with conversations following.  Also on Monday afternoons we zoom just to chat about whatever we want.

Walking and Talking
The weather is cooperating nicely as we practice our social distancing with Shoreline and Edmonds walks. We have new shield-style masks which make it easier to visit as we walk.
  • Tuesdays = Shoreline Walks at 11 AM
  • 2nd and 4th Fridays = Talks (bring lunch and visit in a local park) - next event Friday, Sept 11th at 1 PM
  • Sundays = Edmonds Walks at 1 PM (stroll along the waterfront)

Check the NNN Events page on our website for details

Zoom Online Meetings and Socializing = Ready for You
  • Hop on a Zoom call on Monday afternoons @ 4 PM! It's an open forum to talk about your weekend, garden tips, whatever you'd like! Hosted by your Social Committee, we'd love to have you join!

  • Ted Talks - watch with your NNN friends, then stay on to discuss the topic afterwards
Zoom Ted Talk + Talk is September 3 from 2-3 PM

Anyone else thinking about Puget Sound area gardens open for tours?
With all the wide open spaces in our area, it could be a great time to meet another NNN member or volunteer to see a local garden or arboretum. Here's a link to get you inspired...

As of August 31, area counties remain in Phase 2 of COVID-19 Safe Start, with some counties seeing decreasing numbers. We continue to be vigilant in the services we offer and the support we give to our members.
