About this event
Join NNN Member & Author, AliceBoatwright, at her in-person reading of her book “Mrs. Potts Finds Thanksgiving." This is a story inspired by Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, which Kirkus Review called “a rebooted, briskly paced holiday parable that focuses on generosity and community connection." This delightful book is one for all ages.
In this story for “children 8 to 108,” miserly Martha Potts is reminded that there's more to life than work and money after chance encounters with a homeless woman and a stray cat, who comes to stay between Thanksgiving eve and Thanksgiving Day. Events unfold that lead Martha to rediscover the importance of connection and the true meaning of the holiday: giving and gratitude.
This event is free, and open to the public. Read more about Alice and her other well reviewed books at: https://alicekboatwright.com/about-alice/
