It’s getting to be that time of year when curling up with a good movie and some popcorn sounds like a great idea. How about joining a group that feels the same way? Instead of a book club, we’re a movie club where a movie will be chosen, and you’ll have a month to watch it before we meet online. We’ll join by Zoom to discuss what we did or didn’t like about the movie. Were the characters believable? Was the storyline easy to follow? What was the best/worst part of the movie? Did it make you laugh, cry, fall asleep?
We'll select a movie to watch that's available from one or more streaming services and/or through your local library. We'll look for titles that are available for free from the Seattle, King County and Sno-Isle libraries. If you want to stream the movies, most will also be available for free from Tubi, the Roku channel, Pluto TV. We'll also look for titles available on the more popular subscription streaming services such as Amazon Prime, Google Play, Netflix and Apple+.
If you're not familiar with how to stream movies to your television, smart phone or laptop, let us know if you'd like help to be able to watch online! If you want help learning how to check out digital movies from your library or reserve a DVD from the library, contact Services@NorthwestNeighborsNetwork.org and ask for tech help to learn how to stream movies.
This group is open to everyone who enjoys watching and talking about movies! We'll pick all genres based on the suggestions of our group.
