Have you had a chance to visit Edmonds' own Cascadia Art Museum, down by the waterfront? It's a great size for an hour or so, is walker and wheelchair friendly, and has benches in viewing rooms if you want to sit a spell to enjoy the art. Knowledgable and friendly volunteer docents are happy to share their knowledge about the exhibits, if you like. NNN Hosts Eileen C. and Lee G. hope you'll join them on this small group outing of up to 9 NNN participants.
ABOUT THE MUSEUM:
Currently, there are a number of great exhibits.
Take a look at the Cascadia Art Museum website for brief descriptions of their featured artists and exhibits. As an example, there is an impressive assembly from the Garvey Family Collection, who gifted 75 paintings to the Museum. These include Northwest Masterworks, "rare and historically significant pieces that have remained largely unseen by the public." This family must have had an enormous house with lots of walls! Eileen C says "Having just visited, I was overwhelmed by the high quality, interesting works that we have right here in Edmonds."
LOCATION/ HOURS: The museum is located at 190 Sunset Ave. S., #E • Edmonds, WA 98020. It is open Wednesday-Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
