Subject: Special September Walking Opportunities

Let's get out and walk before the summer days fade! Coming up in September, we're offering two special walking events and kicking off a NEW walking group, "Rambler Buddies."   


For either of the two special event walks (Riding the Ferry & Lynndale Park), please let us know you're coming, so our hosts know to look for you. You can register on our website. Members may request transportation when registering. If you need help registering, please contact Services@NorthwestNeighborsNetwork.org, text/call 253-237-2848.

Just Added! New Monthly Walking Group: Rambler Buddies
 
Having MOBILITY Issues? Enjoy a SLOWER PACE walk with other friends who use canes, walkers of all sorts, or wheelchairs ~ Come and join the "RAMBLER BUDDIES!" (All who want to come are welcome to join us!) For those interested in having lunch together after the walk, please plan your schedule accordingly.

When:
Monthly, third Friday of each month - starting on Friday, September 19th
Where:
Locations may vary. Our September 19th walk will be at Lake Ballinger Commons
23000 Lakeview Dr, Mountlake Terrace
Meet in the Lake Ballinger Center parking lot
When we walk around the Lake Ballinger paths, lunch will be at Lake Ballinger Center.
 
Post walk lunch, for those interested: For those planning to stay for lunch at Lake Ballinger Center, registration opens at 11:30. There will be sufficient time to register for lunch following our walk. Everyone pays for their own lunch and beverages.

Special Walk # 1

 

Ride the Ferry, Walk and Picnic Together in Kingston (As a courtesy, please register)

Wednesday, September 10, 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Edmonds Ferry Terminal, Edmonds

Join NNN host Lee G. and let's stroll onto the Edmonds Kingston Ferry for a trip across the Sound to Kingston. Once there, we’ll walk to the nearby Kingston park for a picnic (bring your own, buy local, or go to a local restaurant). Plan to pay for your own walk-on ticket inside the terminal, which is where we’ll meet to walk on to the ferry. We are taking the 10:20 sailing.

Pop Up Walk with a Nourishing Bonus*! (As a courtesy, please register)

Wednesday, September 24 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. 

Lynndale Park, Lynnwood

Meet in the parking lot and join NNN host Lee G.

*After the walk, for those interested, we’ll drive a few blocks to the Seattle Granola Company in Perrinville Village, Edmonds, and take an opportunity to enjoy a well deserved snack (buy your own). In the same shopping area is the wonderful Cottage Community Bakery in case you’re hungry for something other than granola.
