#  What is a Health Advocate and Who Needs One?  Our medical system is broken. Navigating our way through it requires guidance and support. From grassroots movements to global policy shifts, health advocacy has shaped the way communities access care, fight inequities, and protect public well-being. #  Are you prepared for an emergency or disaster, both natural or human-made?  You're invited to a FREE in-person event to help educate, prepare and equip you in the event of an emergency.  Educational materials and several demos to provide guidance on developing a preparedness communication plan, basic first aid, water, sanitation, shelters, and emergency radios will be offered.  Come to Third Place Commons, Town Center (upper level) in Lk Forest Pk on Saturday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Exciting raffle prizes and opportunity to connect, learn, and be empowered.

If you need a document notarized, please contact Services@NorthwestNeighborsNetwork.org call/text 253-237-2848, and ask them to open a service request and assign to Rita G. She will reach out to you to finalize details.  As with all of our volunteer services, timing is subject to Rita’s availability and the completeness of the documents you need notarized.  Unexpired picture I.D. must be presented at time of notarizing. (this service request does not count toward your weekly maximums)

#  Did you know you can request a Home Safety Visit from South County Fire District?  Visits are for Sno County residents in Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace and parts of southwest unincorporated Snohomish County.  The FREE home safety evaluations include a visit from Outreach staff to provide an assessment of fall and fire risks and help identify steps to create a safer home. Help is also available to install smoke alarms for those who cannot afford them or troubleshoot your existing alarms.  #  Do You Need a Smoke Alarm?  If you cannot afford to purchase one or are physically unable to install one, The American Red Cross may be able to help.  Please complete the form for a FREE Home Fire Safety Education session or Smoke Alarm.
