News update exclusively for Northwest Neighbors Network Members and Volunteers!

Summer is beginning to show signs of giving way to fall, and we’re ready for more activities. Here’s a reminder about some things we’ve mentioned along with a few new and exciting upcoming events. If you haven’t already marked your calendars, and signed up for those events that are coming up, this is the time to take action!  Take a look at the NNN Calendar for September and October.  Lots happening.  Room for an event of your choosing. Just let us know and we will help set it up!

Talking with Neighbors About NNN!

Our team is hosting a series of open community chats to help tell our NNN story at the libraries in our service area and at Third Place Commons. We hope you will help encourage others to attend one of these informal meetings and, if you can come along too, we’d love the extra support. Here’s where we’ll be as of this writing:

  • September 8, 2:00-3:00 Shoreline Library small meeting room

  • September 20, 1:30-2:30 Lake Forest Park Library meeting room

  • October   7, 1:30-2:30 Lynnwood Library meeting room

  • October 13, 1:00-2:00 Third Place Commons, in front of the stage

  • October 15, 1:30-2:30 Mountlake Terrace Library, meeting room

Community Treasure Chest and Yard Sale, September 7th

Mountlake Terrace Senior Center is providing the venue for neighbors to bring their goods and for vendors their arts and crafts to sell.  Want to come browse with us? We will be there at 11 a.m., with extra bags and small change just in case. No RSVP needed, but if you find yourself interested in taking in the pancake breakfast (8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.), drop a line to NNN Info .  We know some folks who would be delighted to dine with you.  For more information see  MLT Events.

SAVE THE DATE! October 18th is our Fall All Hands Workshop

All Hands Meetings are for all members and volunteers of NNN. We will meet at the North City Water District, 1519 NE 177th Street, Shoreline from 12:30-2:30. We’ll have munchies and a bit of social time before we settle in to listen to our invited speaker (more on that in the next update). We’ll also spend a bit of time brainstorming on the services we can offer our members.

Games, Books, Fall Walk About ~  Let us hear from you!
