Holidays and holiday assumptions are changing for many of us.

Thanksgiving: some NNN members and friends are considering alternatives.  Helping at Thanksgiving celebrations for those in need.  Finding a new restaurant to relax and eat without the hassle of cooking and cleaning.  Doing something that is not centered around eating, like attending a movie or just a coffee chat.  If you are planning something you would like to share with others, or are interested in joining something already planned, please send email or give us a call at 206 800-3009.

December holidays: the NNN Social Activities Committee asked ourselves if we maybe should not schedule lunches in December since so many other things are going on in people's lives.  So we took an informal survey of some of our members and discovered that many of us would rather have more NNN events scheduled, not less.  One more reminder to be continually assessing old assumptions!

There will be the 2nd and 4th Friday lunches in December.  And, we are starting to plan a few other events.  Please, if you are interested in helping to plan or have ideas for things you would like to participate in, let us know!

Those of us who attended the Live at the Met Madama Butterfly on November 9th are looking forward to this next one.  The intermission interviews of the performers were entertaining and gave us some fascinating information about what goes on behind the scenes during rehearsals and staging.  Even if not a big opera fan, one can enjoy a Met production.
