Subject: NNN June Update: Masks, Walks, Music, All-Hands
From: Northwest Neighbors Network

Hello NNN members, friends, and family!
This is your bi-monthly update on keeping connected and informed as we move through our State "Stay at Home" phases and guidelines, which continue into our summer months.
  • Masks: We have masks available! New statewide mandated mask policy is effective Friday, June 26. We are also happy to pick up any masks you've made to share with our community.

  •  Books: King County Library path to reopening

  •  Walks: Weekly walks resume this month with social distancing guidelines.

  •  BONUS: We have a great list of walks in the area compiled from members and volunteers!

  •  Talks: Group chats via Zoom resume every Monday in July. Check the Events page. (Log in to NNN website to see members-only invite link)

  •  Music: Summer Chamber Music Season (Online only)

  • All-Hands Q&A sessions: Volunteers will receive a separate invite for our next online All-Hands meeting (June 29 at 2:00 PM or July 1 at 4:00 PM)

King County Library System Update
Limited book drops set to open June 23 (Shoreline).
  • Return materials through the manual book drop. Materials will not be accepted in-person by staff or through Self Check-In. Returned materials will be quarantined and remain on patron accounts for a minimum of 3 days before being cleared. Any fines or fees accrued during that time will be waived.
  • Curbside to Go: starting July 1!  Pick up library materials in a safe, contact-free manner. Available to patrons who arrive by car, on foot, by bike and with or without an appointment.

Shoreline Weekly Walks
We resumed the weekly walks in Shoreline on Tuesdays in June!

Music News

The Seattle Chamber Music Society summer season is real--well, "virtually real," with 12 new performances! And it's a bargain too. If you sign up before July 1, it's $100 to subscribe to all 12 concerts, (or $15 per concert, separately). Multiple people could listen together in the same room on one purchased link.
(NOTE: The season price goes up to $125 beginning July 1.)

NNN Services and activities continue to be restricted (but not canceled) as we work through the statewide COVID-19 phases. We are continuing some services as well as possible with social distancing guidelines. Call or email if you need something, and we'll look for ways to help. We're in this together!

If you need food or medicine, please call 253-237-2848 or email

and we will find a way to make that happen.

Governor Inslee added a requirement for masks to be worn in public effective June 26. Additional details on the Governor's website and the State Coronavirus website (multiple language options).
