Great News for the Village Movement in King County!

NNN Logo

Did you know that in 2017 the King County Veterans and Human Service Levy became the Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy? Fast Forward to July, 2018. The County has now set aside funding specifically for Virtual Villages by name! This is a development of national significance, as King County becomes one of the vanguards for local government sponsorship of Villages. It is gratifying to have our local leadership recognize what we have known for some time; that the virtual village has the potential to become an integral part of modern life, right alongside the Senior Center! The first round of funding becomes available in 2020.

We are Winding up our Crowdfunding Drive

Meanwhile, we continue to ask for your financial support as we make Northwest Neighbors Network a reality. Our Crowdrise drive will end on November 15th. Please take advantage of our matching fund offer and donate now to get double your money’s worth!

You Don't Want to Miss Our Mixer

We have begun interviews of interested NNN volunteers and members. For volunteers, this means meeting with one or more of our committee members at a mutually agreeable location. For members, we will come to your home to conduct the interview.

To commemorate this step, we’re hosting a mixer. Don’t worry if you haven’t been interviewed yet, if you’re on the fence about joining, or if you’re a supporter of the Village Movement who isn’t quite ready to take the plunge…all are welcome.
